Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)
Here are some common questions about Coaching.
What is Coaching?
Coaching is a service offered by a professional that uses advanced communication and life skills to help you create a successful personal and professional life. Some people use it to make life or career transitions, some to create more balance in their lives, others to become more the person they would like to be.
How does a Coach do this?
A Coach believes that everyone has the answers to their questions inside themselves, they just don’t always know where to look. Through powerful questions, tools and techniques, we help people see the forest and not just the trees, i.e. we help them define and focus on the big picture and stop getting lost in the details. By “overtaking” their mind and directly connecting with their inner voice, our clients find the answers they’ve been searching for to live the life they’ve always wanted to live.
What is Coaching not?
Coaching is not therapy. It does not concentrate on the past and associated problems but is future and solution-focused. It is for motivated individuals who are emotionally and mentally healthy and who need (and want) to find clarity and support as well as an accountability partner to achieve their goals.
How do I know if Coaching is for me?
Coaching cannot really be described as such, it is an experience. This is the reason why it is important for each individual to sign up for a first trial session to experience it for themselves. As a Coach, I also use this first session to check coaching compatibility and motivation. Rest assured that you are under no obligation to sign up for further sessions after this should you not wish to do so.
What can be some of the benefits of Coaching?
The potential benefits can be found in your answers to the following questions?
Do you want to focus on the future instead of focusing on the past and your problems?
Do you want to overcome your negative beliefs and be able to reverse them?
Do you want more satisfying relationships at home and in work because you have changed your perspectives?
Do you want to be able to recognize what is unacceptable to you and take action to change it?
Do you want to make a difference in the world and lead a more meaningful life, aligned with your values?
Do you want more than enough time to do the things that matter to you the most?
Do you want to attract more opportunities?
Do you want the confidence to take more chances, the ones that move your life forward in a positive way?
Do you respect yourself and want to design a life that suits you better?
What do I need as a Client?
- Complete honesty – with yourself and your Coach
- An open-mind – as Thomas Leonard said “we are human beings, not human doings“. The “being” comes before the “doing”, i.e. we need to work on ourselves (do the inside work) before we start doing the external work. In order to do so, we will be connecting you with your inner voice/soul/spirit, whatever you prefer to call it. I define spirituality as the belief that there is some kind of universal connection among us all. Some people call it God, others “the self”, and others something different. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that you are ready to consider that there is a vast reserve of available information out there that can help you live your best life.
- Desire to leave your comfort zone and take action
- Willingness to be challenged and to be held accountable for your actions

What are your qualifications as a Coach?
I have received my coaching credentials from the American Institution “Universal Coach Institute”. Through their coaching programs, I graduated as a Certified Transformational Coach, Certified Life Coach and a Certified Solution-Focused Coach. I am also an ICF-Accredited Language Coach.
Aside from the above official qualifications, I think it’s important to highlight that coaching is a part of me, my lifeline as it were. It’s my passion and my means to living a more fulfilling and purposeful life, a tool to making a difference in this world.
When did I discover this? My training as a TESOL teacher several years ago led me to understand that my main passion was coaching and my journey along this path began. In fact, I realized that, without having been aware of it, I’d been coaching for almost a decade in my previous HR career. My active listening skills, positive outlook and discretion meant that people regularly came to me for confidential advice and guidance, knowing that I would give them constructive support from a non-judgmental perspective.
